AnimeBoxD is built to be a personal, private diary for anime and manga fans. We only collect what we need to make the app work well for you — nothing more.

When you create an account, AnimeBoxD may store your email address, username, avatar, bio, anime and manga library entries, ratings, notes, favorites, settings, reports, and related app activity. If you use the app without an account, your data stays entirely on your own device.

How we use your information

We use your information to sign you in, save your library across devices, personalise your profile, respond to your reports, improve the app, and protect the service from abuse. We do not sell your data to anyone, ever.

AnimeBoxD uses browser cookies and local storage to keep you signed in, remember your preferences (such as theme and settings), save your cookie consent choice, and temporarily cache anime and manga data so the app loads faster. These are strictly functional — we do not use tracking cookies or advertising cookies at this time.

Third-party anime and manga content

Anime and manga titles, artwork, descriptions, trademarks, studios, publishers, streaming platform names, and metadata belong to their respective owners. AnimeBoxD uses this material strictly for personal library tracking, fan discussion, and discovery.

Advertising and analytics

AnimeBoxD does not currently run advertising or analytics. If we introduce either in the future, this privacy policy will be updated in advance, and we will ask for your renewed consent where required by law. Any advertising would use industry-standard services (such as Google AdSense) that may use cookies to serve relevant ads.

Data retention

Your account data is kept for as long as your account is active. You can request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time by contacting us or using the delete account option inside the app.

Children's privacy

AnimeBoxD is intended for users aged 13 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has created an account, please contact us and we will remove it promptly.
